My Second Book- Dreams Don’t Cost A Thing

At the start of 2023, I decided to write my second book. Ironically, I told myself I'd never write another one after publishing my first book, Reroute: Postgrad Guide To Success—Physically, Mentally, and Financially. As the years went on, I realized I wanted to be a career author, aka someone who writes multiple books over the span of their life.

When I first started writing Dreams Don’t Cost A Thing, I had no book title and no real idea what I wanted to discuss. Given my personal brand and role at the time, it felt most appropriate to write a career guidance book, but I knew this wasn’t what I wanted to focus on in the long run. Through this, I instead chose to identify what was needed in my community, and that’s when the idea of writing a personal development book diving into mindset and living a life of intention and purpose came about.

Growing up, in the projects, I never heard anyone discuss mindset, how the power of our minds could help us achieve anything we desired, how purposeful relationships allowed us to flourish, and why living intentionally mattered because our time on Earth is numbered.

I care a lot about this topic for the sole fact that we only have one life to live; we can die at any moment, and I interact with people on a daily basis who simply hate their lives, don’t operate from a space of gratitude and don’t know how to change their current reality.

Dreams Don’t Cost A Thing Will Shift Your Life Narrative

Ever since learning about the power of both our subconscious and conscious, my life has changed. I've watched several videos discussing goals, success, positivity, and other related topics. As someone who grew up with a negative mindset and bad self-image over the years, I've had a lot to unlearn. Seeing the things I've achieved and will continue to achieve through my mindset shift has been nothing short of miraculous.

I hope my second book can change lives for the better. I hope and pray it empowers people to start living life on purpose and in their purpose. There are raw and real stories I share not only of my own life but of other folks as well in hopes of inspiring your own transformation.

Change

Personal development has changed my life. Reading books, investing in my own personal growth, taking the time to assess my wants and needs, and analyzing how I want to turn out have manifested in curating this very intentional book, which aims to transform those who read it. If you are not transformed after reading Dreams Don't Cost A Thing, then you didn't take enough notes and apply the lessons.

Ultimately, life is too short not to take control of your life, to live intentionally. Everything can change in the blink of an eye, from one day to another, one minute to the next.
