Mindset Matters

If your mindset isn’t in top shape, your life won’t be either. First, I ask you, what are three things you’re grateful for today? Today, I am personally grateful for having a job that fulfills me, for my parents, and, lastly, for my friends, who continuously pour into me.

Without the right mindset, you’re nothing.

Having the right mindset can help you through some of life's toughest moments. For example, my mindset allowed me to work through previous depressive episodes. When everything is crumbling before me, I know I must tap into gratitude and what is going well in my life, even while so much is going wrong.

Sometimes, the reason we go through seasons of trials and tribulations is because we’re not living in our purpose, the purpose God put us on this planet for. This looks different for everybody. My purpose is to bring light, love, and value into people’s lives.

Think about this: how can you be expected to pour into others when you aren’t pouring into yourself?

Right now, I ask you what are you doing to pour into yourself. What are you doing that is fueling you? Could you be doing more for yourself? If so, what is holding you back? It most likely has to do with your mindset. Until you realize that you and your limiting beliefs are getting in the way of the life you truly desire, you will never reach the goals you dream about.

Don’t be fooled by what you see on the internet. This isn’t an overnight shift. Cultivating your mindset takes time and continuous work. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am now.

All in all, your mindset is the vehicle that will drive you to the destination you choose to go. If you’re constantly thinking negatively or feeling stuck, clean up your mindset- start writing down three things you’re grateful for. Take inventory of your life. What do you have, and what do you want more of?

Ultimately, nobody is coming to save you, so it’s up to you how you live your life.
